Talking Found some cool old school pics!

Found some old photos of my Dad and the bike he set a land speed record on. The bike is a twin engine 1500cc Triumph, and the record set was 201MPH open frame on nitromethane. He also clocked an estimated speed of 225MPH with a fairing/aerodynamics attached, but it was never recorded due to the fact that he went off course. I guess this is where I got my need for speed from...

My father at bonneville. He used his military issued boots to race in

Me at about 10 or 11 with the owner of the bike Don McEvoy

Nice, this might be a stupid question, but how do you link two engines into a single gearbox? What if one is making more power than the other?

Oh, and check out the rear tire, the top of the text for "Goodyear" is facing the center, I wonder when tire manufacturers switched the orientation of the text on their tires.

There is no transmission -- just a clutch and jack-shaft. The crankshafts of both engines were linked together with triple roller chain so if one engine made less power then it would set the pace for the other engine. But i guess that's where good tuning comes in handy
