1 13b center plate is over 30 lbs itself. dont forget everything else that goes with being a 3 rotor. extra manifold metal intake and exhaust and the 1 extra 3 rotor plate is about 50lbs itself, rotor, housing, longer e-shaft. most 3 rotors weight in a 3000 lbs with everything.

 

13b center plate is only 20lbs give or take one.. as far as everything else.. as stated.. an extra rotor with housing and plate is only nearing 50lbs..
none of the additional items have enough material to get even get close to totalling 100.. ive got a torn down 20b in case you were wonderin..

 

even if the engine itself is only 75-100 lbs heavier i have seen some weigh in Total at right around 3000 lbs, there is one more of everything on there no matter. thats only 150-200lbs over a touring. either way the rx in the vid should have pulled better for the power level it is said to have.

 

My car did 60-130 in 7.22 on the dragstrip. It was perfectly flat. On a 2-3% decline, it would do 6.70-6.80. Rex got pulled pretty badly by Jamie's matte white Superleggera TTG.

nice your gtr is a strong runner. crazy what they do with just bolt ons and tune. is there any video of the run with rex and the white gallardo?

 

maybe im off on the weight of the 3 rotors then. i just was using what i know the 13b weight cracked down is and adding 33%. either way i would expect more out of that car then if it doesnt weigh much.

I realize im a lot late here.. but.... i dont care what anyone says... that rx7 was NOT making 748hp... i own a 740 hp rx7 and trapped 150mph in the 1/4.. my car will ruin that gtr.. both nice cars..nice vid but no way jose 748.. nOOOoooPPPEEE

Lol Yup!!! And here it is. I was thinking if u would've race that gtr, u would've disappeared.

 

Yeah, Tommy has one badass 7! But weren't you on a ppg tranny and lots of carbon body panels on that pass? Either way both cars are very nice! Once the silver car gets dialed in it's going to move well also. He trapped high 130's on pump and low boost. Race gas and cranked up psi it's going to move well.

 

The only carbon on that car during that run was the doors and the hatch, this is a full interior car that he drives on the street. Infact, he always drives the car to and from the track. I've personally seen this car trap over 133 at 12 psi and also 149 at 24 psi. He was running a ppg trans but it he broke it.
My main point is if u show a 740hp dyno sheet at tx2k12, it should show up. If that car makes 748hp, he wasn't making it that night. Compare this video to what tommy car did to an 800hp supra and all questions will be answered.

 

Tommy also drove that bad boy down to NC for the Deals Gap event. Actually both of said cars were there. True street cars!
Do I think the silver car is making 748 in that video..... doubt it but most cars are not making what the really claim either. Thats why talking and claiming XXX is silly. My next dyno is going to show 378rwhp and run DEEP 9's in street trim...

Its simply about winning, lossing or ET's.

 

Its pretty obvious that car was not making 748 during those runs unless he simply wasn't on it...

 

Looks like the 20B lost.

Those GTR's are great cars. Very tough to compete with especially when modified.
