I'm curious on what the door interior looks like, since you have to chop the door in half. Wouldn't happen to have any pics of that? Looks good. I too like it better. Keep us updated on the progress of that kit. I might want to change.

It probably wont be ready until late fall... I am not sure... I am sitll looking for the donor car that is supposed to be in the salvage yard..
I am thinking that more than likely the doors would have to be carbon fibre or flberglass.. the other way stock would be a bit heavy.. I have to study it some more...

Kafka used a Weld On kit... GT Factory which is considered universal because it has to be welded.. also there is a hole that needs to be cut from the inner chassis wall... I have installed this kit before but its quite a bit of work with all the welding.. The wire harness does need to be lengthened since its snorkel cover is rather short.. I found that sliding the wires between the dash and Pillar actually worked best on some applications.
Kafka's FD looks sharp but I am not a fan of 90 degrees... to me it doesnt look quite right.. having owned a 1988 Lamborghini Countach back in 1990 the door did not go up as high.. its what gave it that exotic look...
My kits are Direct bolt on and NO welding required.... It only goes up to 80 degrees and it uses a single German Shock... after removing the fenders the install takes me less than 3 hours to complete... the tedious part is extending the door wire harness.
My FD Zondervan Lambo Kit sells for $689.00 Plus shipping.

Qball- Those are f***in sweet. Think of the time and modification it would take...
Those delorian doors would also take quite some time to finish properly. You would have to change the latch and put it at a angle wouldnt you? I would also like to see some inside shots and the hinges for those.

delorean doors wouldnt be possible on our cars, unless you wanted to chop up the roof, reinforce if not create new doors. and good luck finding a mounting point.
not saying its not doable, if you look at the snakepits PT cruiser, the whole side of the damned car is the door.
but anyways, not doable without having WAY too much time and or money.
peace
