FC playing in a lot
Out behind my office, is an empty lot often used for motorcycle training. On occasion, when this lot is empty and I can't spot any cops around, I go and practice figure 8 drifting....
I'm IT support for approx. 350 users, most of which have seen me out in the lot and make comments like... "Tell me when you're out there next so I can record it." or "You're gonna hit that pole next time." (jokingly of course).
Well on Friday evening, after getting my TD06, powerFC, buddy club coilovers and Mazdaspeed wheels, put on ...in the rear only . I decided to see how differently my car handled.
All I can say is WOW... I totally understand how drifters maintain so much speed now. I'm used to softer suspension that absorbs all my attempts to break the rear end loose, and good consistent tires make all the difference in maintaining angle and speed. Lastly, wet spots on the ground DON'T make it easier to drift, it just makes the back end kick out and aims your car for a pole.
So... after playing around, one of my users sends me an email titled "Parking lot adventure" I open it and find.....

I was pleasantly surprised... Needless to say, I will be notifying him whenever I go out there to play again.
Cool parking lot huh?
