Computer Modeled Assembly of 13B

This is a video put together by a group of students at my school this year for a final project in an engineering course. I think they did a pretty incredible job.

I'm not sure how long it took them because I don't know them personally--my roommate was in the class. However, his project was extremely simple in comparison, and he and his group spent plenty of hours working on that. I'd guess that just rendering the final product took about 48 hours on a very fast computer. And the measurements of all of the parts, well, they probably lived in the lab for a few weeks.

If anybody sees anything incorrect in the assembly, feel free to leave a comment on their YouTube page. I'm pretty sure they're still actively working to improve it, so let's help them help us.

The class was required to do the animations in Autodesk 3ds Max. They used a couple other programs for modeling.

Nice. I know 3DSMax pretty well. Had to use Solid Works at school though. I hated it.
