Check out this FD

I was looking through the Yahoo Japan auctions for some parts and decided to check out what FD's they had for sale. Anyhow check this one out. It's selling for 1,000,000 Yen which is about $10,000 give or take a little depending on the Yen rate.

Wow, you rarely see people convert their fd's to vert, it actually looks pretty nice. Aside from the scissor doors it looks ok.

I will give them an "A" for effort but I don't personally like it. All I know is whoever did this spent a whole lot of cash b/c stuff is not cheap in Japan when it comes to body work let alone custom work.

Here is another car; the first two pics look great, what you would expect from the typical Japanese person. Then picture 3 is what happens when the Japanese start watching the Fast and the Furious movies. To get a 10 pound nitrous bottle filled up runs a couple hundred of dollars (at least in northern Japan) if you can find the shops that carry it.

I'm more of a purist I guess. The RX was meant to be light and nimble and the scissor doors can't be lightweight and the body work makes it look like an S2000.

The second one is a bit of a paradox. Ditch the bottle, the sub, the wheels and I'd bet you it'd run the same ET without the nitrous.

Once again, I'm a bit of a purist.

Scissor doors aren't heavy. Their the same doors only with hindges that way an extra 20lbs at the most, unless they decided to reinforce the doors or something. I'd buy it just for the work it took to put it together, although a little much even for my tastes.

That is a Bazooka bass tube, NOT a nitrous bottle.
