752RWHP Street Car!

Hey guys. I went to a dyno shootout yesterday at PFSupercars and put down more power than prior. I was pleased considering how much abuse this motor has gone through since the summer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTeKQPUnzCc

It would have made more if my ecu didn't reset itself at the top of the run dumping a ton of fuel in. THis summer Im adding 2 more fuel injectors so I can run more boost. Right now Im out of injector so I can't run anymore boost. We should hit over 800rwhp with the new setup.

Are you using a special eccentric shaft to hold that kind of power reliably?

Thanks guys. Yes Miata mx5, I use the Guru 2 Piece E-shaft and stud kit. Keeps everything nice and tight.

How much power can it hold?

I know a small shop called top fuel racing has a special 3 piece one that can hold over 900.

Eventually when i start my FD project i want to do 600-700 reliably. Just wondering, thats all.

Thank you.

The shaft is only part of it. You have to have everything else working along with it to get the full benefit, but 800+ on C116 shouldn't be a problem. The Aussie's have done it.

Ernie.. Amazing car you have..

Forgive me if u've answered this in previous thread..

but I saw how your car squats like hell and launches like a bat out of hell on a related Youtube link..

i was just curious... What do you have in the Rear end? still a mazda pumpkin with upgraded half shafts and a diff brace and a Kaaz LSD?

or do u have something more extreme?

It actually squats too much. Im getting my Koni Drag shocks re-valved, but yes mazda pumpkin, kazz, and the driveshaft shop is in the process of making custom shafts that be all one piece from the diff through the wheel. It'll be a 33spline, level 5 stuff. It will also be the standard offered for the FD when they are finished so it won't be a one off.
