Thinking of going rtek 2.1/ Some ?'s

Hey guys,

Thinking of going rtek 2.1 and had a few simple questions.
Can I run the stock 550cc injectors and tune them for better A/F ratio? My 87TII runs really rich right now and I want to tune it for more correct fuel. I was also wondering if I could maybe boost to 7-8psi on stock injectors? But my main concern is just getting it to stop running so pig rich. So far all I think I need is:

PDA w/custom attachment
RTEK 2.1
Boost controller
AEM uego wideband

SO far I have done these mods to my 87TII:

Rebuilt s4 engine
s5 ported turbo
FULL 2.5" RB exhaust
3" TID+cone filter
KOYO rad
Thermal pellet removed
emissions removed
Oil pressure raised to 85lbs
s5 pulsation dampner

Also I know I need to rewire the fuel pump soon. But will the stock one work for now?

Well with the 2.1 you can fully control spark & fuel, so yeah you can tune your stock injectors down, but if you raise boost I wouldn't do that. I am running a 2.1 with 550/720's pushing 8-10lbs of boost with a new fuel pump and no problems.

P.S. We should take a drive out 36 sometime.

I'm going rtek. I just hate the smell of the exhaust on my car. Stock boost is fine for me.

Is anyone using a Handspring visor prism/PDA?

with your mods you probably dont need it, but i would reccommend throwing 720's and a rewired walbro/equivalent on.

also, like the other dude said, you have a pretty broad correction (i think +/- 37%??) over fuel inj duty cycle as well as spark timing control
