no, it has to be plugged in, and the key has to be on.

RTEK won't cause no spark issue. Only Ign. timing and Injector Correction.

my palm still wont connect with the ecu though and the owner of the palm and ecu used it befor. every time i go to my fuel map it say something is corrupt. i have major wiring issues the main relay seems to be not working right. also the clip that connect to the cas was broken so i wired up a new one. the wires match the harness but does match the cas it plugs into. i have a 89 tii engine and s4 na battery harness(which i believe the battery side harness has the cas in it) and a s4 tii ecu harness. i moved my battery to the back passenger bin and removed the old battery wiring

you need to re-do the logger install on the palm... then try it again.

hotsync is the uh program... or protocol? used to talk between the palm and the pc/mac.

basically, you need a computer with windows xp for an older palm. use that program to install the logger onto the palm.
