Rtek Feedback on web based map editor
So we will be able to hook a serial cable into a PC and control the ECU that way? that would be great. dyno tune with a laptop, or have a friend hold it. or keep the more portable palm for when you want to keep something light and small in the car at all times (glove box!)
i'll be looking to pick up a stage 2 ecu this winter for my n/a

My main source of concern is that at the dyno, the palm-based entry method is too slow to be useful. I have created other maps which I can load in, but the load map feature is extremely unreliable.
Tuning on the fly with a PC would be a huge benefit.

I really wish this would get stickied so people would know you CAN use a laptop instead of a palm.

i see it as more reliable/faster on a lowly p3 500 laptop. i just got done stalling another rtek, and loading my old maps from 3 months ago, and tuning the fuel map for ~12%+ on half the map( anywere its in boost. ) took like 1 and a half hour.
i don't have to worry about batterys dying and losing memory, and its much easyer to read.
i do hope soon for an option to edit the maps on my laptop while away from the car. or at least being able to READ the entire map at once. That would be nice.
