The two ECUs have the same N numbers?

No other fuel control? (AFC?)

Have you checked your TPS readings?

You need to adjust the TPS using the procedure in the FSM.

I dont have a rtek but i do know that the 1.7 is for 550 primary and a 720 secondary setup and you are running 720's all the way around maybe you are getting too much fuel?

The fact that he says it starts with a stock ECU would rule out the injector mismatch problem since both ECUs are expecting 550 primaries. My guess is setting up the TPS with the AFC. I can almost guarantee that the TPS is way off from the factory spec due to the way the AFC calculates the TPS %. If it's too far off, he could be tripping the flood clear.

Oh, well that puts a whole different paint job on things. Then there is a definitive difference between the ECUs when it comes to cranking/idle fuel. If you have any AFC adjustments, they will not be valid after swapping ECUs. The instructions for all our Rtek products specifically state that you need to zero out your AFC when you upgrade from a stock ECU to a 1.x because you can have a situation where the larger injectors are compensated for twice creating a lean condition.

Probably the same reason people still post when they have nothing useful to share.
