i wanted to know once i update my 1.7 to the 2.1 do i need to have it tuned by someone or will it come from you guys preset? and is there any shops in southern cal that can tune it or do you guys give instructions on what to do as far as tunning it yourself?

I'm not pocketlogger but, it comes zero'd out. so basically stock, and unlike the 1.7 it does not retard timing 1 degree per psi above 9psi, so you have to tune it. Start rich and work your way down. See https://www.rx7club.com/rtek-forum-168/afr-tuning-methods-827389/ for more information about tuning yourself. No instructions, but you will need a WB02 gauge to verify Lean/Rich conditions.

I'm dunno about shops, but it is easy to use so I'm sure they could, but it takes longer to change some perameters (timing) than on other ECU's.

thanks for the info...im shoping around for stand alone and it seems the rtek is good for the price but im concerned about tunning and what i would need to do....as appose to someone else tunning it like a haltech or motech or power fc...and seeing that i already have a rtek i would like to stay with it im satisfied with the 1.7 but since i ported the motor its been dumping a lot of gas and i need to tune my car so im trying to see whis is the best route to go as far as tunning and financial
