streetable auto trans?

has anyone ever found a way to get the benefits of a fast shifting auto trans but on the street. I think those of you that have looked into the GTR realize that other than awd one of the things that make it so difficult to compete with is because of its ability to shift so fast. So are there any auto trans our cars could use to level the playing field?

No one has really wanted to spend the money to try something electronically controlled, heard Demetrius was thinking about putting one behind a 3rotor using PCS's tranny controller.. The lack of torque/ higher revs puts it out.
Take for instance the GTR uses a dual wet clutch, not a torque converter ...something like this would make for pure sex on a rotary but for the $$

Most paddle shifting transmissions are slower then what you can achieve with your hands there are new transmissions from ferarri , and the GTR's trans for example that are FASTER then a manual , and ofcourse you get perfect shifts every time , but the rematching and all the electronic work , and the gearing , all of this is ALOT OF MONEY TIME

YES its possible with some very deep pockets . just make sure they are VERY deep

other option is a sequential tranmission . HKS I believe sells a sequential trans for the FD .

Now the fastest Door slammer Like pro-mods Use Automatic Trans.....
With Chevy trannys You can find parts on the junk yards not expensive.....but if you want sequecial, shiftronics, or what ever GTR's or Ferrari tranny...heyyy I recommend Buy a NEW one of this car run fast but its very expensive but If You have the Budget why Not!!!!

Probably its Not the best way But its work it.

admittedly its fast. but its not different. Its like the old days when I saw a lambo and got excited now I've seen enough lambos twin turbo vipers and vettes ford gt's etc to last a lifetime. even if I had the cash I wouldn't buy one.

I wonder what paddle shift system he is using. Lenco doesn't seem to have anything about it on their site.

His left leg is doing an awful lot of work when it's stop and go for it to be an auto. It's using a clutch but the gear changes are accomplished in a clutchless manner. The nature of the Lenco allows this with ease. According to the comments below the video, he built the system. My guess is the paddles are controlling air solenoids. Would be a pretty straight forward setup to pull off with a bit of electronics.
