i think his fastes was 10.7 with the turbo setup.......the rest i believe were in the 13 sec to 11 seconds.......i remember cause i was there all the time.LOOK at his windshield it says 12.5.

Dont forget the side exhaust we did in the 90's with the supertrapp muffler..........he probably still has it somewhere, hang it up on your wall or something.

Chris, I know of some all motor cars running high 10's with stock turboII trans., so turbo cars with turboII trannies have to be in the 9's and quicker. You're tranny is definetly alot stronger than a turbo II and you're running some good 60ft times so I would just stick with it, unless you come up with some cash for a clutchless trans.

I think the automatic is the best tranny for a turbo rotary street car or a small tire race car making power, For all out competition I would have to go with the manual 5 speed with an adjustable clutch.I guess nobody wants to share there first drag project...

My very first rotary was a 77 rx3sp. I was only 17 and wet behind the ears and didn't now alot about cars. Me and my best friend went 50/50 on the car and raced it around our neighborhood. I loved racing 5.0mustangs and watching their faces at the next light when they said, " What do you have in that thing." I would calmy say, " Oh, just a little 1.2liter." Haha. I had video a long time ago but they got erased somehow. You all know my current drag car. I got it bone stock with a stock 12a and drove it home with about 12" of steering play and bad brakes- don't know how I didn't kill myself. Hehe Here is a pic from the last IDRC event that I really like.

I sold the car as a roller to some guys in chicago and my power plant (minus the tune up) to mario with the chop-top r100 in socal. Should be fast as soon as he gets the engine tuned correctly

West racing still hold the record of the fastest turbo 2 tranny powered car,it ran low 9s back in the 90s early 2000s.
