Hey guys

Looking at a new turbo for my street / strip 13b 1st gen. I've been looking at the S475 but just wanting to see what times the S366 is capable of before I decide.

I'll be shooting for ~22 - 25psi on pump gas with WI and wanting to run high 9's ~ 140mph.

 

i say it depends the weight of the car and a bunch of other things . thats just my opinion

Wilmeranic, my tuner has gone 9.21 @ 151 on the 366, with like 20-22 psi, but on meth

 

I would expect fd's with 500 - 550 whp to be trapping at 130 - 135mph
Am I missing something

151mph from a 66mm turbo is hauling. If only meth was street legal.

must be a ton of meth to make 650-700hp on 20-22psi to trap like that?

 

Could you share race weight just for reference to overall performance?

To the OP, S366 should have enough air to produce over 600, even 700 HP in well sorted setup with race fuel or alcohol.

Depending on your weight and bunch of other variables, you should be able to run in 140's, but boost level will be probably higher - so far, S366 was recognized as rather laggier turbo...

Yes the exhaust flow almost nocked me over **** was like standing in a heated wind tunnel that burns your eyes .. didn't really help i was standing in front of a couple of bricks

 

SO last night wilmer went into the 9.1's hanging the hoops and trapped 150 on the first pass and 145 on the second
2475LBS wet with driver gf5r box

boost controller set for 22 psi seeing lil spikes to 23

 

Any other S366 timeslips?

 

what exhaust housing and turbine wheel he is running? I've seen pics of the car and looks really nice being that its own by a mec engineer speaks for its self. what ecu and boost control he's using?

 

not sure on the housing sizes, know its a t4, microtech lt10s, PCS dash with boost controll

 

Being that its a t4 its possibly that could be a 1.10 no larger than a 1.25.

 

Still can't work out why 500-550whp S366 FD's aren't running 135-140mph.

Here is smg944's old T3 1.06 GT35r rx7 which probably made about 480 - 500whp yet trapped 132mph

 

Also his new setup does 525whp and runs 140mph -
