The FD record is held by Blitz/Scorch racing in Japan. Not sure what the exact time was but it's somewhere in the mid to low 8's using a Liberty trans and stock type rear suspension.
Actually Ari was running the G-force when he ran a 9.1.
His fastest on the stock unit is a 9.3X. Only reason I know is we were talking about it Thursday.

That's really impressive. it running gas or alcohol? It would be a good idea to start another thread about your car since I'm sure you're going to get a few questions.

Really nice pass!

Congratulations from Lasse in Sweden! Is the car a real modified car like those PR and Ken Scheepers, or is it a Sport car. In Sweden we have 3 NHRA Import classes namely Sport, Modified and Pro. It would be really nice to see you at a track in Sweden 2007!

There was a guy that came from Japan a couple of years ago, and participated in 3 or 4 California IDRC events that ran high 8's. We could not believe it because when we looked over the car it had a newer model Turbo II trans. I don't remember the guys name but, it was a red 1990-91 Second Generation RX7 with a Cosmo or FD style motor.

The first time we saw him race he was DQ'ed because all his equipment was not certified or legal here in the States. I'll check the IDRC web site to see if I can find his name. I know all the local Socal racers were shocked at how fast he went with a second gen RX7.

That's strange because I raced with him and his best time was mid to high nines. It was the Y's Enginering/Kazz FC driven by Yasuhiro Ono. The FC was powered by a 13B-REW sporting a huge T-51 HKS turbo. I remember the first time I heard the car in the pits because it was also the first time I heard what a T-51 turbo sounded like.

Does a HKS Sequential transmission qualify as fastest on H-pattern?

We run H pattern, NOT a sequential.
