Some people have an ice fetish. Everytime I've seen pics of that first gen there're bags of ice on top of the motor. They must own an ice factory!

On a lighter note, anyone interested in buying a partially finished RX-3?

Maybe "dumbasses" was a little harsh, but do you think that was a good idea? Loose ice in front of a turbo intake? Just because you can make a bunch of horsepower doesn't mean your smart.

regarding Rice Racing- yes I think that was neccessary. That guy is a ***** on this forum and he's a ***** on the other forums. 99.9 % of the forum members agree with me. I should have known you'd be on his side. Yes, he knows alot of ****. Did he invent water injection- NO. So what has he done that's so great and that you have your head so far up his ***?

NOOOOOOO Allen, don't do it. I know money is tight right now and you gotta do what you gotta do, but I hope you're not selling because your tired of you car? You have come so far with that car and have done such a good job. I hope you change your mind because I'd really like to see how the car runs with your new setup and a good tune.

It's not just a matter of money but that is a big part of it. There are a lot of reasons but for the most part i think i am just in over my head. The car use to be fun when i could take it out on pump gas and pound the **** out of it all day long. Since i tried to kick it up a notch i have had nothing but problems. I can't afford to detune it and don't have the skill or money to finish it with the setup that's in it now. I really don't want to get rid of it but i don't see any other options

Allen, I know for fact that you aren't in over your head. I know your a aircraft tech and I have seen your work so I know you have mad skills. I wish I was a master injection tuner so I could help you out but I'm not. I'm just now getting the hang of my IDA carb. I know with your ability all it would take is someone to show you how to do it once and you 'd catch on. CRISSPEED, CAN YOU HELP A FELLOW ROTARY BROTHER IN NEED?

What I got from your last experience is that you made a tune error on accident and you know what you did. Why not give it another try? I'm not saying I know everything, just trying to help you out here. This is what I would do. Plan on being at the track all day, set up low boost, timing, safe rich tune, make some 1/2 throttle passes and log your a/f and egt, ect data. Make small adjustments with the data that you have. If you don't have any guages with memory or software backup then mount a vid camera behind you and replay the run and check the guages that way. If all is good then make passes with 3/4 throttle and so forth. Don't mash the throttle and try to run an 8 second pass on the first run, LOL. I'm sorry with all the rant that you probably already know, I just hate to see you come this far and give up without at least enjoying your 3 with the new setup. Shoot there are only a handful of old skule drag racers left in this forum let alone the US, we can't afford to lose another.

Just something to think about. The economy sucks big *** right now so even if you are going to sell your car for one it is going to be tough and two everyone is going to low ball you and you are going to end up losing big time and in the end regret selling. I have talked to so many people that have gone down this road only to say, " Man, I should have kept my car".

If you need any help with anything let me know. I'll do my best to help you out in any way I can. I'll beg Crisspeed to help you out with 1000 pm's if need be. LOL.

Trust me!
I'm doing everything within my power to help Allen out. It's just that as of late a lot of **** is happening around here at the same time and I have no control over that. I just wish Allen had an easy solution to get out here.

Do you build your own motors or do you have someone build them for you?

Same here! I live only 60 miles from Allen and I would do anything for him if he needs any type of help (except murder, steal or punch random old people........ok maybe the last one is still game lol). I wish I was a master Tuner as well so I could help him in the area but i am not
