First off since the war America has been headed south and fast! Perhaps you don't have to worry about the economy but 99.9% of the rest of us do and if it weren't for the direction America took after 9/11 we would be doing just fine.

The war is costing America 341 million dollars per day in an already very expensive foreign policy that costs 1 trillion dollars a year. Dollar devaluation much?

First off we were lied to going into this war on all fronts when Bush and Co. said that Iraq was a national security threat due to WMD's as well as Saddam having links to Al-CIAda which was false on both accounts. Now we have killed 100's of thousands of innocent civilians over there which is more than Saddam ever killed.

Maybe you haven't read your history books but when our founding fathers created this country through blood sweat and tears they understood the dangers of nation building and expanding an empire because they looked at the failures of Rome and many other nations and civilizations when creating this country. It was also Benjamin Franklin that wrote "war is a poor chisel for carving out a peaceful tomorrow". Of course if we don't look at history books and don't learn from our mistakes we are doomed to repeat them and that is exactly what is happening now. Our founders also warned us that "They who give up essential liberty for a little temporary security deserve neither liberty nor security". With legislation like the FISA act, the home grown terrorist act, the USA patriot act, the military commissions act, and the soon to be passing of H.R. 645 (look it up), we have done nothing since 9/11 and the "war on terror" but give up our essential liberties for the illusion of security.

So while you are so quick to blame Obama and the liberals for the direction they are taking America, all he really is doing is picking up where Bush left off. In the next 4 years you will see a globalist push like you have never seen before which Bush, Kissinger, Gordon Brown, Clinton, and many other world leaders call a new global order.
