Dude wake up. You think the Aussies are consistent because of the mx6? The only thing that is mx6 on that car is the shape of the shell. The consistency comes from the engine/tune and chassis, none of which comes from the MX6- grasshopper

Well Mr. Miaggi, looks like your PAC mx6 is going to dump the current setup and are now going to use a US Mopar pro stock chassis. Oh, but when they put the mx6 shell on it will be all mx6 that is going to keep the car consistent right?

^ thats old news.... Keep up noob!!!

No time for internet babysitting right now.... you're cutting into my drinking time

If you had taken the time to listen to the interview and follow up on Australian drag racing you would know that the Mx6 was built in Australia and was holding back the team from competing against the newer cars... Because of the devaluing of the amerian dollar, most Australian teams choose to buy their chassis from the top US prostock chassis shops rather than wait 2-3 years to have one built back home.. If if they waited to get a Aussie built chassis, it still wouldn't be as top notch as the US ones.. Remember Pro stock is very competitive here and when it comes to chassis setups, the slightest difference could make you a winner or loser on Sunday so thats why guys from around the world rather get their cars from the best in the biz..

PAC performance said the MX6 chassis had reached its limits and it simply couldn't handle more power.. Lets face it, 6.9's aint going to cut it these days amongst all the 6.5's Toyotas that was recently imported into Australia, so it was either they get out of the PRO class or they stepped it up to a proven chassis from a top notch US chassis builder...
All the R&D that went into the Mx6 will now be applied to the new car and they'll probably still campaign the Mx6 to have a 2 car team.. Now with the new Mazda 6, the team will be able to turn up the boost and be competitive and SAFE against the 2jz's from Rod Harvey, Joe Signorilli & Tony Wedlock

Stop bagging on the quick racers from around the world, they've paid their dues and have proven that they're much more capable than your "skinny" idol

*** walks in thread to throw salt on wound***

BTW The Mx6 is using a standard 20b inlet just like 'DaQuino's Matt Black Rx3 and the rest of 20b's in the PAC stable

I'm not bagging on any quick racers and give the Aussies and PR's nothing but support and mad props. My whole point is that the car is not an MX6, it just has a shell shaped like the body of an MX6 and that the motor/tune/chassis and team is what makes the cars consistant.

And there you go again with the Abel cracks again. Is that all you got? Man you really are Jealous of that guy huh? Can't stand to have West coaster In the top #1 and #6 quickest in the world especially when there is only a hand full of us down here.

You seem to like to talk alot of smack around here and are always making cracks at other people especially Abel- not to cool. Whatever dude, I guess you are the best and know it all.

Yes it is....

Well the word on the street is a K&N oil filter oring that failed causing the K&N sponsered Rx7 to get oil on the rear tires and it caused the major crash....
According to the guys over at Ausrotary, the car is almost ready for the track.... Thats the 2nd accident that car has been in... very pretty car when it had the short nose on it, hope it stays the same color

there was a video of that crash but was shortly removed from rotormaster.

It looked pretty bad on that video,Rx7 did a left turn hit the wall left side then

ricashade crossing the 2 lanes hitting the right side of the Rx7 going down really

fast and again bouncing off to left wall again before he stopped.RotorMaster

Rx7(K&N Rx7)was on left lane when he wrecked.

i dont understand why they didnt add more bar work to the existing chassis and strengthen it up.it could have been converted to a dual rail chassis and back on track in no time.weve had experience with a blown small block toyota 1800 hp and hitting the wall.when you got power the chassis flexes out of shape.even the front strut towers can move so there is little chance of keeping it driving in a straight line when on the noise.since the accident we repaired the chassis and converted it to dual rail..we got race legend "john zappia" to help us set up the rear suspension in the car and since then it drives as straight as an arrow.chassis flex is the cause of the problems in my opinion.these 20b rotarys are now making more power than a single rail chassis can handle.even at only 30 psi they can make 1300 hp at the rear tyres.a single rail chassis is only designed to handle about up to 1200 hp.those pro stock cars are aspirated so their engine isnt as savage and they dont do 10 000rpm launches either....any way some food for thought.....

I think if it was as easy as adding as "adding a few bars" they would have probably saved themselves a cool $100K+ USD and just did that with the Mx6, same goes for GAS and the Camrydore..
If you listen to Joe's interview on SpeedFM, he noted how different and smooth the Celica felt.. He didn't have to fight around with it and it just drove itself on every pass.. There's a reason the Top US chassis builders charge upwards of $150k for a car..
I don't think you can replicate the same results by buying one of their "weld it yourself" chassis kits or chassis building instructions..

BTW US prostock cars make around 1500, leave the line at around 8k and some shift as high as 10k..

my $.02

well i guess you can either upgrade the whole car for 100k+ u.s.or you can learn how to do chassis work your self and save money...personally ive got long pockets and short fingers....so my budget means i will always build my own chassis cars.
