Three consecutive six second passes,is,to my knowledge, unmatched anywhere in Rotary racing, and something that all Rotary lovers in this country should be immensely proud of !!!!! If not for a clutch component failure in the second round of eliminations,I am confident they may have made the finals of Competition Eliminator
Just got that from Ausrotary, so the reason they didn't run another 6 second pass was because of clutch/tranny failure and NOT A BROKEN ENGINE

I've seen both trannies broken before and it's not the first or the last time it will happen. If you're comparing a Liberity 'Equaliser' to say a lower model G-Forcel 'GF-5R' then yes due to the design offcourse the Liberity rules. Apples and oranges gentlemen and in racing conditions everything has a life span. People who believe that because they purchase an expensive race part automatically mean that it's unbreakable is in for a rude awakening.

I never said liberty trannies dont break, I know a few racers who had g-force 2000 and it would not last 5 runs before trannies had to come apart for repair, why do you think pro stocks run libertys over g-force? I think reliablity

I could say the same for Liberity
Who am I to argue with you anyway? I have never even seen or use one of those trannies in my life or even been around anyone who has one or even repaired or modified any for different racers!

And what cause the tranny to loose the tail housing? I know it did not simply explode for no reason. But then again it's a Jerico!
I would not know the difference anyway!
Every tranny has it place. Guess which tranny is the best for an all motor car and it's not based on what 'Pro Stock' NHRA cars use either. It's based on trial and error! But then again I 'm just assuming!

You should have bought a good yoke and driveshaft in the beginning.

You could have been worse if you went down the track, like your buddy Remember.

what happen to him.

Thank god it happened on the burnout.
I've seen the cup from a u-joint come through a factory floor even though the driveshaft was in perfect condition but I guess the yoke deflected enough to release it!
That's what happens when you push stock parts way past their design limits!
From then I've become a believer in the MW yoke!.

^ men that was a great interview!!!

There's a reason why these guys charge top dollar to build cars.. They have professionalism, skill & consistency and that right there don't come cheap!!

Good luck to the PAC boys and i know that new car will be a record setter

Great interview. One thing that I was going to mention the other day when all the Abel haters came out to talk trash this brings up. And that is that it is very very hard to go from 7.0 to high 6.90's. And you wonder why Abels record still stands after 4 years? But with all the new development for the rotary today I think his record is going to be broken very soon.

You obviously didn't listen to the interview carefully... Car could have been in the 6's ages ago BUT consistency was the main goal... Remember they have a business to run and they can't afford to have cars that consistantly break because it reflects bad on their workshop, and that means no customers.. Remember that chasing records don't win races, consistency does!!!
My young grasshopper, if you had a choice of a 20b race car which one would you choose? Rx8 or Mx6? and why

consistency is the game, look at pr car,to me there consistent 7.1 7.0 car's.Like sporty's rx7 he did 6.9!but he's not consistent. How know's when thay will be a consistent 6.9 etc.But 6.9 etc with a 3/4 car,im not saying it's not going to get done but it's possible. It's going to be very hard to get thous time

Rx8 because for 1 it came originally with a rotary engine and two it looks better and three it is more slippery. Any more questions sinsai? LOL
