Thanks for the links! At least one of those sparked my interest

Everything under the hood of just every one of them you can buy at a speed shop. There's actually notting that's custom made one of a kind and trust me when I tell you that.
Do you what size apex seals they are using? 2mm or 3mm?

Does it really matter
I know people using Rx-8 apex seals in earlier rotors making 800hp.
Let me guess now you want to know how that's done too.

It's the entire combination . Engine builder/ Engine tuner/Chassis tuner/ Driver just to name a few.

I tried to edit my above post but the time expired....this is what I meant to say...

Actually yes, I would like to know how that is done. I'm sure everyone on the drag racing section would want to know. That's why everyone is here. The question is would you share that info? I really did not care if the seals were 2mm or 3mm but I figured if I could not get a straight answer to that, why bother asking what seals are they actually using? It matters to me and others that are trying to go faster with a rotary. If I'm a guy trying to build my own motors and tune my own car all the help matters. It's too costly to make mistakes when you want to stay in this sport. Also, if you are in this sport and not building your own motors or tuning your own car, its even harder.

The PR guys are successful because they share info and work as a team. I can't say the same for the US. Even your reply is sort of an example of what I mean. It's obvious you know things that can help others but how much of that would you really share? Hopefully in the future the US rotary guys will all help each other and share info and have more rotaries in various classes instead of the new trend of dumping the rotary engine for an LS1.

For now when I need help I'll stick to asking TandR, Dee, Judge Ito, John Duarte, Waynespeed and a few others that are willing to help the "little guys" Hopefully in the future the US rotary guys will all help each other with tips etc and have more rotaries in various classes.

Hey Anthony
I did not mean to come across to you like you think I was. If anyone have help anybody on this forum it would be me. The answer I gave to you was based on the general theme of the thread. It was not directed to you personaly and if I came across that way them I'm sorry and appologise to you for being a complete idiot/*******/shitface.
I would also hope by now after reading countless threads on the subject of apex seals that the size does not matter.
Actually it's engine builder/tuner preferences. If anything the brand of seals do play a part also but again that also is dependant on preferences. If anything the latest choices in apex seals do offer some more reliability when running at those extreme operation levels.
Some brands that have made a major impact on the industry as of late would be NRS, PTS and SCR apex seals.

Now I feel like an ******* for my response. I'm just grouchy because I hurt a motor and spent the past few days working on the car again and didn't have it ready for the last NHRA event and had to sit there and watch everyone else race. Sorry dude! Thanks for the response. I'm leaving this thread alone now before I get in any more trouble.

in the world of drag racing, most drivers talk smack about other cars & their drivers its call bragging rights...it gets worst when ur dominant or ur making more power and its expected so thats why most guys dont let it get to them...they just wait till the next event & try to beat the guy thats been talking ****...
i never said that justin is a bad person or bash him, because i dont know him at that level to say those things...i only repeted what i herd..
how many times ON THIS FORUM has smack been swap around between Abel & the PR racers and non of u guys did **** to stop it or even appoligized to the mentioned parties...u guys only decided to open ur mouths when justin came on here to clearify my comments...
Justin i have nutting against u, and the comments i made didnt start from me, i was only saying what i've herd so dont shoot the messanger...
alot of u fellas on here talk alot of **** & u'll got ***** foot when u saw justin...i cant believe that some of u guy are from NYC, so f'kin sad...
Jay why on earth whould i race u? we're on the same team, playing the same game on the same court... it doesnt make sence... plus if i had to race u it wouldnt be for $$ because i would feel bad talking ur money, u will need it to upgrade that "stock" setup u have...
at the track a few guys was saying that it was Paul who made the tech inspection happen... now is that true? i dont know i wasnt there when it happened so i cant say for sure paul did it...am i wrong for saying what i've herd? i guess im the only person on the rx7club that ever said a "he say"....rumors are just that untill its clarified by the involved parties, and even if they clarify the rumors theres always a posibility that they could be lieing to cover up the "he say"...

sorry if i made any of u ladies cry with my "he say", but dont let me catch u'll starting any "he say" cuz it'll have problems :-D
Justin ur a great competitor and i have all respect for u, please understand that i was only repeting what i herd and it wasnt ment to make u look bad

Mr jay u my friend is an ******* and u help to blow this whole thing out of purportion..but i dont hate u and i have nothing against u...we're from the BX and we both love rotarys so it dont make sence to fight...if u serious about that $$ money race im sure we can make it happen..BTW looking foward to finally meeting u at the bear mtn meet, i'll be walking with the other 1st gen (13b)so maybe we can waiger up there...
I know you both jay and rotarboyz but i dont want to see ya fighting at my meet. Ya can talk and discuss stuff but no need to get into an altercation, ya can debate it set up a race schedule and all that. Ima be there watching =). I can help mediate lol =)

RotaryRocket, I would never bring anything negative to any of your meets. This kid is just always out of line. RotaryBoyz, when your 20b is done PMME a place and spot and we can lock it up for a square off. Until then don't bother wasting my time about running me. You're the one who called me out and who has been talking **** about me when your project is not even near completion. I don't know you never met you nor care to. I don't associate myself with idiots or ignorant people. I hope your 20b project is finished soon, since you think my FD is junk. Put your money where your mouth is end of story. Do not PMME until your project is finished.

Now back to the main subject. If you notice when you do get to see a glimpse of the PR cars they're using 2nd gen plates with a dizzy. Maybe that plays a key role with the Sakura Ecu they're all using. I believe its all motor prep and lots of hours tuning. You have to remember the tracks in PR are open almost every day and stay open till late into the night. So the PR guys just have ALOT of hours working on their cars at the track tweaking suspension and tuning.

Its our meet. The meets are for everyone to enjoy. Hope to see ya all there.

So the PR guys that raced, are they going to enter NHRA and do the entire race series like other teams? or did they just race to show NHRA that these lil PR cars that are not sponsored are top dawg.

Jason the sport has exploded over the past few years and its becomming hard for teams with no sponsers to compete...i herd that it cost as much as $200k per year to campaign a pro RWD car for a full season of NHRA ... im not sure about the cost of a modify class car, because Justin hasnt answered my question yet :-), but im sure its almost as much as a pro car...
team PR tries to keep there racing on the east cost because of the cost but i did see Pica attend the Vagas meet a few mths ago, maybe they had some help for that event...
i've notice that the NHRA is slowing down, because there are only a handful of pro RWD cars and all the other classes besides modify hasnt had any new cars for some time now...people also say that the sport is shifting over to drifting and its taking most of the sponsers with it because thats what the new generation wanna get involve in....
having guys like justin,Paul, bullish, ect was a good thing for rotary, because if we didnt have that level of competition then we probably wouldnt have the zeal & desire to make more power with our little rotaries to compete with these guys... our guys US & PR never accepted defeat and they've step up R&D since those 6cylinders starting breaking records and as the piston guys get quicker so will the rotaries...

How exciting!! A new rotary Pro RWD?? COOL!!

Thanks for the engine shots RX794.....perfect. That's what i like to see! You get to see what the big boys are running.

It looks as though Pica's running a GT4780 or larger. NICE!! I tried to fit one on my car but we couldn't do it without cutting or moving a bunch of stuff. He doesn't have the water neck which helps a bunch in the space department.
