NHRA Modified Class invasion!!!!!!!!!!
This weekend for the NHRA event at Englishtown there are five Rotary powered Starlets from PR competing in the Modified class.
Sure is going to be some good racing this weekend. The rest of the class have their work cut out for them.
ps. I believe 'La Atrevida' and the 'Pica Racing' rx-7 are there also so that means 7 of the quickest rotary powered 3/4 chassis cars in the world.

it's going to be a great day today but tomorrow sucks! There is a lot of rain moving in and from the looks of it tomorrow will be rained out.
That sucks but today Pica and Efantis are running their final today since the last NHRA event (final) rained out as well.
At least we will get to see all these guys qualify. I wonder if they are going to run the finals on Monday or run the finals at the last NHRA event.

I'll try to get updates from my friends at the track. I spoke to Dee last night so I'll try to get some updates from him today but NHRA is usually great at updating their site.
Last night I didn't get home until like 3am (hanging out at the local rotary shops). It seems that everyone waits until the absolute last minute to tune their cars and jump on the dyno, before every single major event is like this.

Team Puerto Rico rotary cars in six of the eight position in cualifying.
#1 Nayeli 7.32 @ 182 MPH (New record, if they back up the run i'ts a new record in the class and also will be the fastest 13b rotary car BEING A 3/4 CHASSIS)
#2 La Atrevida 7.38 @ 177 MPH (New personal best, still a lot left in her has ran 183mph before)
#3 Justin Humphryes 7.42 @ 185 MPH
#4 Pica 7.43 @ 179 MPH(lost the final of Moroso had direction problems, giving the win to Efantis with a 7:51)
#5 Jaimy Lee 7.44 @ 179 MPH( New personal best)

The thing is that on the last race that was in Moroso FL the Modified final was going to be Pica racing vs Efantis but it was cancelled due to rain.
That final was going to be decided in the second round of qualifying in Englishtown.
Efantis won with a 7:51 becuase Pica racing had traction issues.
Dont worry Lupe of an 8 car field 6 cars are rotaries and I expect that
1-Nayeli wil run 7:30
2-Pica racing will run 7:3 and La atrevida will go quiker and fater if they adjust the chassis.
3-One of the cars of Puerto Rico (La Sarita) hasn't qualyfied yet, so if Mr. Gaby chassis find whats wrong whith the car expect to se a 7:50 or low 7:40. La sarita has ran 7:45 at Atco earlier this year
