mt dr's vs mt et streets

Iam going to be hitting the track soon with hopefully 500rwhp and change..... I have a tII diff and stock axles I hear that mt dr's are much harsher on your driveline, but et streets are harder to control unless your an expierenced drag racer which iam not....
I just wanted some opinions from those that are more expierenced on which way to go... I have some spare stock rx7s rims waiting for dr's or et streets so which should I order???

At World Ford Challenge this weekend. The drag radial class let's you use a 275 series tire (That's small). 3 guys went 7.50's between 193mph-197mph. Those three guys were only running a 26 inch tall tire.

That's nuts.
