Just give in and do it right in the first place like some record holders have been doing as of late.

I agree the FD transmission is a weak point. I guess since most of the issues I see are with those making much more hp than my self, and since my freshly rebuilt and cryo’d tranny made it 1.5 passes ( 1 soft run and a burnout) before the tail shaft snapped I figure I might aw well rebuild it since I picked up a main shaft a few months ago.

My tail shaft snapped when it appears the tranny appeared to move (now have transmission brace right below the tail shaft) you can see the Candy Cane-ing in the pic

Who produced, had one made? I never saw anyone with one. How much?

I realize its all just a means to a end, the axles are a no-brainer so they will be in by the spring season begins, coming up with 4500 to get a gforce is a whole nother issue.

But if I could get the tranny to last a whole season on my little 465hp, then next winter go g force it might be easier to budget.

Would the case flex be that bad?

Thanks for any info

You don't need $4500 for a G-Force. You could do the cheaper and much better suited for a street car setup and use the G-Force T-5.

Dog ring straight cut.

Dog ring helical for less noise.

Is there a company that makes the adapter plate or are all those custom, 1-off?

My FD is strictly Drag, just a cage, Aluminum Dash, Switch panel. I’m way light in the HP category, but I’m not trying to break any records , just love racing

Actually, great info in here!!

Cris, whats the most power would you put on one of the g-force T5? What other mods do you have to do to get this thing to work? Can you supply this setup?

It's not so much power. It's the torque...
The G-Force T5's are holding upto about 800ftlbs in 3300lb cars..
So i would say a mazda would have a hard time breaking one..

G-force got the entire package for a rotary. It comes with an adapter for the T2 bellhousing. Also for an FD the shifter placement is way too forward but there are ways around that. A couple of certain factory applications place the shifter rearward for an easier fit. It's just a matter of swapping tail housings.

Check this installation out in a FD.

The tailhousing I mentioned above.

The nissan version of the tailhousing.

Well, for now it is, since i don't break too much and i'm still trying to keep it a "street car." We'll see how long that lasts.

Wait, im confused. (and a little slow lol)

So G force has a kit for the FD? Or they just have shafts for the T5 that match up with the rotary?
How come Ernie spent 4600 on his (dub question, I know he has a money tree in his backyard)

I think I’m looking for a turn-key solution, I always suck piecing stuff together, I spend to much, and always finish last LOL

Thanks

Shifter location is same as stock on my G101, just 2" to the left. Not a big deal at all though.

I replaced my broken axle yesterday in my cold *** garage. I decided to take her out for a spin at a local hang out spot but the rear was making noise, it had a LOUD whining. Today I drove to my friends shop and took everything apart. Turns out the pinion gear has a chip in it. Maybe a piece of the axle fell in, I'm not sure.

Either way I am ordering my new axles, the ErnieT special from http://www.Enzo-Racing.com in Long Island. He knows the guys from Driveshaftshop pretty well so if you guys need a set, get them from him. I also sold my current axles (the entire assembly) for $500 to offset the cost a bit.
