OK.... How do you racers break yer clutch in? I know you don't drive it 500 miles!
They recommend 500 mile breakin....that aint gonna happen!
Whats a good way to break one in quickly?

I do a couple big slips on the way to the track. Never ran a multi disk so IDK what to say.

Not much, but I understand it isn't much different than a ACT clutch as far as engagement goes.
BTW...the flywheel is steel. Made for drag racing.

How much does the flywheel weigh? I assume it's SFI rated?

Flywheel weighs around 28 lbs and yes, it is SFI approved.

Oh! You need a counterweight for this too! Just the stocker.

After spending most of the weekend, it is in!
At first it chattered like a chipmunk!
Drove it home and went back out to drive it around the block and it made hardly any noise.
I am going to have to learn how to drive my car all over again.

My double also made me feel like a 16 year old girl. Not much flexibility at that engagement point that's for sure.

Good job, can't wait to see how it feels at the track. I have a feeling you will be very happy!

Yeah...its on or off.....no slipping there and if you don't give it enough gas, it will just shudder and bog down.
There is an art to this I can tell.
I called Clutch Masters about breaking it in because there is no way I can give it 500 miles breakin. They said to just do the best I can do, so I will be romping on it pretty soon!

so my clutch went again last night. I am done with the 6 puck deal. Time for clutch job number 9. So sick of this. I have to decide:

SPEC

Tilton

The above clutch masters.

Spec offered me a partial sponsorship so I can get the mini twin at a great price.

I know Tilton is the **** but are all these parts available like what flywheel?

The above seems nice. WHo is running on at the track and whats the results? Life length?

Other option I have is do a sintered iron disk with lower clamping preasure plate.

I'm really liken the CM clutch!
Pedal pressure is less than my ACT Extreme.
After the first gear it doesn't give you any problems and grabs like a ***** after that.
It's extremely quiet now that I adjusted it right.
If you get it, make sure to get the steel fw for drag racing. You will also need a counter weight.
