First trip to the 1/8th mile strip

well, I had a blast last night at kennedale raceway. I ran my 89TII with the big block chevy's and a top fuel dragster. the same track that is. not the same time. I did run against a supercharged pontiac fierro, which ran 8.1 sec. once I got to the 330 ft mark, i started catching her. yep it was a girl driver with a .047 r/t.

since I auto-x the 7 and have never been to a drag strip i wasn't sure of what to expect. I put on my old r compound road race rear wheels and went to have some fun.

I ended up with a best time of

9.26 ---------dial
.447 ---------r/t
60ft ---------2.026
330foot @--- 5.938
-------------58.22mph
1/8----------9.108 @
-------------77.39mph

not bad for stock turbo and minor mods.

Kennedale! I've been there once, cool to see a local member on here. That's a good time, my best was a 10.211. Not great, but I'm pretty sure I could run an upper nine with a good launch.
