I'm sure it's not that important to u but I'm sure all those rotaries running close to those numbers do care who is the fastest. Rotary or not , good luck on your quest for 9's

So you share about a piston record and nothing about a rotary world record. Who's team are you on? lol
That guy who has the record is a multi billionaire who has his own track and unlimited budget. If someone with the same amount of money were to support a rotary car, I bet the rotary would have the record. There rotary top guys have some pretty good money but nothing like this EKanoo guy. What's more impressive?

About the 3 rotor being a blink away, You meant playing catch up. Let the titan guys replace the 10.5W tire with a bigger tire and turn up the boost, Who knows what numbers they would run. I love the rotary engine but cmon guys, Its time to wake up.

My issue was your hostility when a fellow long time member posted a record, You came up barking, I learned a long time ago that a rotary will not beat a pist-on engine, Mazda has failed to improve the rotary engine and cant even keep the RX-8s from blowing up in stock form. Racers have had more success with the rotary engine than Mazda when it comes to performance.

But I still hold onto hope that a 20B will beat them SOON...

Well, the 2jz is usually how big? 3.0, 3.2, 3.4? Not sure on rules of if they can bore and stroke, but either way, the 3 rotor is 2.0? So what if that gap was closed some, would that help the rotary out, or has that been tried and the 3 rotor is the best? Would love to see a 26b pushed really really hard, guess you would need that billionaire money though

I would like to see Mazda give real support to racers out there. Maybe investing some $$$ on some R&D and offer a multi-rotor engine or higher displacement engine so the racers can compete out there, At least offer affordable stronger irons that could take some twisting instead of the compressed sand irons we have to work with. These engines have not changed much in over 40 years

LOL, did you know that El Jerry and Zion didn't even show up to the second round because they both blew up! At least the rotary made it to the starting line! And the rotary is still way behind R&D vs the 2jz and with all that only .14 slower- that's a mouse fart difference. What's more impressive given the 2jz has had billions of dollars thrown at it with billet parts. We are just now starting to see more and more billet parts for the rotary. What does the 2jz have left to improve? And you say rotary will never beat piston? They do it all the time bro. It's not all about who makes the most power or who has the fastest times. As you see the guy that has the one time number usually comes home without the trophy. Consistency is what wins

First I'll answer to whos side I'm i on. , you don't have to be on anybody's side to post the import world record , I been messing with rotaries since the 80's and that's all mess with. , but since this is going toward which engine is better. I still have to say that a rotary even though we don't have the parts available to us like the pistons have like billet parts or like jose said bigger displacement or billet plates , different compression ratios. But we are still competitive with stock internals besides seals studs , something that pistons guys can't say. , and to answer that the guy who owns the supra being a millionaire , I really don't think it really matters becouse those 3 rotors running. Close to him Don't seem to lack on money thrown on them neither. , Besides all this. Let's see who breaks into the 5's. First. Hopefully is a rotary
And I know there are some billet parts out there but cost way too much wich most of us can't afford

Money does matter- EKanoo has 30+ Top notch tuners and builders working for him around the clock building and blowing **** up just to get that extra horsepower. I don't think the rotary has that much backing.
You take away a turbo from a 2jz and it's a boat anchor. The only way they are running faster right now is because they can hold more boost before the engine blows vs the rotary. But the rotary parts are getting better and better so we will see what happens. One thing I do know is that the rotary rules the all motor record

I love the predator racing 1st gen! Breaking the 6 second barrier with a stock chassis car is amazing!
