Thing is there was so many fast passes that when he put the g101 in no one really knew when it exactly went in but him. Jim from JPR and he have had many conversations about that, and how the liberty faceplate affects "factory trans" rule.
It's really an incredible thing how fast he was 10 yrs ago, the factory trans is beyond its limitations then and now. That pass was on a liberty face plate box, factory gears and shaft assembled by ray Wilson @ PFS. But a week later we stripped the teeth off 3 rd on the dyno. Factory gear can't handle close to 500ft lbs of torque... Case flexes and cracks, syncros don't like high rpm shifting. And my car way lighter than his was at the same et, which makes his # even more impressive. for this season I'm gonna throw another 3 transmission at her, one junkyard, one low mileage, and one trick up my sleeve syncro, with finally getting a 150mph pass last weekend I know I have the power to run a 8, just need a clean shift to 3rd
Then the madness of the factory trans saga can end for me lol

Well bacon has done a great job and should be very proud.

I don't see a reason everyone wants to compare to Ari. It was ten years ago he was doing his thing. Everything has improved since, turbos, ecus, injectors, fuel, etc...

Man that's fast! Our 68 Camaro has a 434 small block, I've gone 6.0 in the 1/8 in it, and man it's over before you know it. Congrats on the run, rule of thumb, anything under 6.0 in the 1/8, is usually an 8.0 pass.
