yeah, that and the damn corner piece of the apex seal that fuxored up the tension bolt threads, grrr but that was just one of those bad luck kind of deals that happens when your in a big *** lightning storm while trying to put a motor together.

Thanks man! Yeah having fun is key for sure! I think my problem is I like working on it more than I like driving it but then again I haven't driven it all that much, lol.

I forgot if that happened when I was there, I don't remember us putting all of the tension bolts in since we were missing the coolant seal. I also forgot which time that was lol.

that was the time when we where both at jose's house. Remember the last tension bolt wouldn't go in. We had to break it all down and found it was that piece. Jose was in jail at the time.

Yeah, that was teh porting day! I thought we just put a couple tensions in it becausae we were missing the coolant seal, then when the coolant seal arrived and we went to do it again that happened. I dunno, we've had that block apart so much it's hard to remember them all!

A few pics of it closer to being finnished. Still gotta get the ecu in as well as some air bleeds for the injectors and a couple little things here and there. Got my stock rims in so I will be mounting my et streets on two as well as some regular tires on the other two.

Yeah I'm pretty excited about that. Now I gotta wire up the microtech, shorten up the spark plugs I made for the crane coils, plug up the power steering, finish putting the alt on, bleed the brakes and put the new tires on and I should be good..........besides a good tune

edit: glad to be getting rid of those heavy as OZ racing rims and tires.

lol your going to make me pull out these pics This is how I used to roll, haha.

edit: screw it I"m going to do it. I've had 5 differant setups through the years, here goes.

when I first bought it.

After I found the mickey mouse intercooler and other things causing problems, also just a bit of a cleanup.

after a bit more cleaning and I bought an old school greddy intercooler and upgraded to a hybrid turbo.

This is after a rebuild, streetport, lt8 and a bnr stage III. made 350rwhp but the rebuild was a failure due to one freakin side seal.

and then of course now

yeah it's come a long way since '99.

lol, not true, I was driving it way before I met you Only problem is that I'm never satisfied wth the hp so I always change the setup pretty quickly after getting it all together. I should be pretty satisfied with this setup for a while

Well a little update. I got my lt10 in from world wide racing, they sent it off for a 4bar map and put a rough tune on it. Also just got my 850cc primaries in as well.

Hey rat are we still pulling the motor out of your car this weekend?

see now thats just a damn shame. I love helping anyone out with thier rx7's cause I always learn something new and even though it can be a bitch, at times, to work on I still have a blast! I would give anything to be able to help you with a project like yours. I could learn all sorts of stuff One thing I've always wanted to learn is how to build a back half. Unfortunately I'm going to have to order the chassis engineering cd and learn from that. Wish you lived closer to me, I'd be over there so much either my wife would divorce me or you would tell me to leave
