Drag racing clutch setup

Hi guys

I would like some advice for drag setup.
I just bought a doug nash 4+1 transmission 18spline inputshaft ,
its been rebuilt by libert ( claims by the seller)

what type of clutch do you guys normally use ?

my idea is using
a) 7.25" twin clutch pack , with quartermaster 13b flywheel
or
b) act clutch using XT clutch cover with 6 puck of solid hub

will be using 26/10/15 MT tires ,
target around 650whp

current setup is

13B-RE Bridgeport , 2mm Apex seal ,
4pcs Stud dowel 12.7mm ,
Borg Warner S400 80mm 1.32AR , Devided Exhaust manifold 22" with Twin Tial 44mm Wastegate , 4" straight pipe exhaust ,
Haltech E6K 1600CC X 4 , Spearco Water to Air Intercooler -16 hose with water cooler tank ,
Twin Tial Blow off valve , V Mount Aluminum Radiator ( Mit Evo3 ) ,
Dual Walbro Fuel pump -6 with return Fuel cooler , -6 + -6 to AN-8 Fuel Line ,
HKS 5 Speed Dog transmission , OS Giken Twin plate clutch ,
Msd Igntion 6A X 3pcs , HKS EVC boost controller , D2 Racing Drag spec suspension.
Stock IRS with weld on solid rear differential.

Mcleod Industries make a really nice twin disc setup. They now sell to the public so you can by Mazda Clutch setups from them directly. All their setups available are for full drag race applications. No more street clutches available from this vendor.
Here is their web site http://www.mcleodind.com

I have pictures of my setup if your interested in seeing the actual clutch setup.

Nice turbo setup should run hard with the right clutch/tranny setup.

I run a Tilton 7.25" on my doug nash and it works flawlessly. I am also going to be running a heavy design products flywheel next time out. Is the car primarily for drag? If so i would recommend the heave flywheel.

thanks guys for quick reply .

rotaryengineering : i will try to contact mcleod if they have the setup, love to see your clutch photo.

13b-rx3 : yeah , only for drag . i was thinking to get the QM 7.25 clutch kit with .250 disc , but still considering which type of pressure for the diaphram springs , are you using the stock flywheel machined to fit the tilton ?

but the weakest link right now will be the stock rear center diff , still considering to put in a 4 link ford 9" or only center section like enzo racing did.

anyway my target time will be anything below 10sec , i will be happy with it .

If it's a drag car only go for the heavy flywheel. I got mine from a company called Design Products. It's a heavy bitch, more than stock! It's a billet chromoly heat treated flywheel made for a 7 1/4 tilton. As for the pressure plate, IIRC mine is rated for 900ftlb.

Noel : thanks for the FB photo , The clutch looks nice , but the price is out of my budget .

RX3:
I got a specs for the 13b flywheel made for 7.25" weight 9kg or 19.8lbs, will it be little heavy ?

Total for the clutch and flywheel will cost my roughly less then $1000
