Guys,

Not sure if you guys are aware but each year there is a rotary meet at the Deals Gap in North Carolina. A few of us are heading down there this year and I figured I would post it here to see if anyone else wanted to go.

So far it's Me, Ernie, Roan, Enzo, TurboTommy, Killito, Jesus Padilla and a few others. Kilito mentioned that Lucimar may be coming as well. I'm going to call a few more guys like Edgar, Jim@Jpr and see who else may want to come. (Allen 13Brx3, Ant TurboR1, Derrick etc) It would be nice to see the NE Drag guys all head down there.

Some are bringing their spouse or kids since it's a more relaxed atmosphere and there's a lot to do. Most of the time when we get together it's always for a drag event so this would be nice to sit back and relax for once. It's Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday. I'll get there Friday night and leave on Sunday.

will you guys be driving your cars down there or towing them? I want to drive my FD down and although i am somewhat confident on my FD it also worries me,I wouldn't wanna pay a towing bill from NC to NY...

 

A friend is taking my FD. My wife and I are going in the Rx8.

Your car is single turbo, everything is easily accessible if something does go wrong it's easy to fix. Just check your coolant lines, take extra belts, spare set of plugs, main fuse link and you should be fine. I know what you mean though!

I live about 30 minutes from the start of the dragon, and about 1 hour from the resort. Anyone driving down with a fd feel a little more confident as I should have whatever you need if there is a small issue.

Great event and look forward to seeing you guys there.

We'll have so many drag racers, we'll stretch those 73 turns into one 1/4 mile

 

This will be my first time. And i can't wait.. I think i got about 5 rotorheads coming from the charlotte area, so hopefully we will see you guys there.

 

TurboTommy is registered and BDC is thinking about coming up too.

HAs anyone booked lodging? We should get a cabin for just the drag guys

 

??? Anyone? The lodging fills up quick and you can be sure not to find anything. There might be a few cabins left we could all go in on.

 

Sorry bro, most of us booked before I even posted this. I'm taking the wife and going with the Rx8. Ernie is taking his wife and already booked. Roan and Allen are spooning so they already booked their room too. As for the rest, I am not sure if they booked a room yet.
