You call that moving around In NZ we call moving around when you can see the sponsors on the doors at the finish when standing at the start line and thats at 160mph on a 9" tyre
Jokes aside, you guys really have your NA stuff sorted and good luck with running a 9,very impressive stuff!!

Yeah i know what it feels like to move around on an 8"Slick @160mph,Cause my Rx3 will move a bit here and there but it is more controllable than the Rx7 only going @ half that speed.
The Rx7 feels a bit more twitchy and sensetive than my Rx3.My Rx3 rides like a Cadillac
New GOAL to Break is 6.20 to 6.10 ET mark.Hopefully not break IT!!

10 sec combo
It may be possible to run some fast times. There is some people who have run
high 10s with stock tranny and rear end.But you know a rotary like the bridge or
P-Port has to wind up very high and stock stuff like this won't even handle the
strain from 8K to 10K on the track.
In order to run very good times, the engine combo has to wind depending on its peak power band, torque and gearing.Rotaries don't have the necessary torque
to get the car moving so you need to calculate the RPM launch and your gearing.
There is also handling. If your car has good balance ,the car will go nice and straight. This does affect speed and ET when you start to get faster.I have notice
that just a slight wiggle or drift down the track,I have lost 3-5 MPH on many runs
and 2-4 tenths on ET.Traction and launch is also a big thing.
All i can say is that there are many ways you can setup a car and how much money you want to spend to do it.You can start with a good engine combo.
Gas or Alky,Mechanical fuel or fuel injected ,stright cut gears on stock tranny or Jerico tranny,G-Force trans(mostly a 5 speed)Chev rearend (12bolt) or ford rear end(9").These are just a few variables and budget to your wallet.
A good setup can cost alot of money.Even just to knock off a 1 tenth or 2 tenths to your ET can cost alot more.I have learn that with my car these days.
As far as gearing, you need to figure out with your engine combo.Like i said engine
power does affect gearing. Its all trial and error.IF you make good power,You will
go fast but power is the solution to fast times.

but there is more to come.
The setup i am making should make more power as we speak.
I will run the Rx7 very soon.
keep posted.
