I have not seen that video in a long time. There were actually two different videos of him running in the 8's.

I've seen the front shot of him from ESPN but I've never seen that rear shot. Is that the one you're talking about ? I think you actually posted that one a few months ago.

No that one was not an 8 sec pass.

Man I remember the first time I ever saw Adam race was when in 1998 when they had that Import vs Domestic's on Pay Per View. Man that **** was so DOPE. Ray Lockhead and Abel Ibarra also run on this thing and man did the rotaries dominate. Adam defeated Ray at the import finals and Adam went on to destroy the domestics in the Finals. Does anyone have a copy of this thing I would like to buy it.

The times that car would probably be able to run these days due to the advancement in rotary technology would probably be insane!

I remember when Adam switched to a G-Force 5 speed on a Turbo magazine video. On stock tranny he ran 10.10s but when he only switch gearbox bang... 9.54s!!!

Adam's car was pretty sweet. Wonder if he still owns it?

His family has big bucks from farming as posted. Biiiiig bucks.

He ran that 8.90 at Palmdale LACR which is higher altitude than most tracks and certainly not optimal conditions. 8.90@149mph.... he must've let off a little as that is a low mph for a high 8 second pass.

I dunno what he's doing nowadays but he could do 2 things with his FD. #1 is come to run Sport RWD OR #2 Back half the car and go Modified. Or forget messing with the FD at all and build a back half RX8. Either way it'd be nice to see him back in a rotary if he could step it up to run in either class instead of wasting his time and $ on Honda/Acura products that for himself personally weren't as successful like his FD was.

Check this rare picture out

I took these pictures along time ago when his car wasn't even in the traditional
cameleon/ yellow colors. And i also had the chance to race him a couple of times
with my little Rx3 when he ran the 8.90s at palmdale.I have one picture here
when i raced him and you could see he always got towed in style with his hummer.
It just brings back the memories.

I thought he built the back halved/tubbed NSX in the early 2000's but never really got it sorted out or consistent. Without a doubt, his professionalism atleast on air helped build recognition for the battle of the imports in the late 90's.

Damn, those pictures are old. I don't remember it looking like that. He had some sweet mini-truckin rims on the back of that thing !

Awesome pictures !

That pic is a very old one of his early setup. It has gone through many tranformations since then.
