2006 rule changes NHRA

and guess what no changes in all motor
The K series are running away with the program
and NHRA was so damm F'ing eager to make rule changes that affected Jesus Padilla aka adding weight etc every damm mid season

Now you would think NHRA would be fair and add wieght to the K series hondas
to make it more par with Kilo's RX7

no wonder he has not raced this year
total ANTI-Rotary bullshit!!!!!!!!!!

NHRA....You really need to sit down and review whats fair !!!!
Rotary was what brought all the excitement in the early years of NHRA sport compact, at least here in the east coast then attendance # started dropping...It does not take a PHD to figure that one out.

Kilo siempre siendo humilde.... Dios te exhaltara!!!

Question Does anyone have any updates on Jesus Padilla?

I like to follow what is going on in the NHRA SportCompact Racing but, I have been really disappointed with the way their "All Motor" Class program has changed. Every year they make mid season Rule changes to slow down the Rotaries "Jesus" specifically. It was just a matter of time before the Honda guys figured out a combination that would work really well for them. The K Series Motor really seems to be the ticket and I think this is the second or third year in the "All Motor" Class. It is only fair that they add some weight because they are flying.

Did Jesus really retire or just take a break for a couple of races? I hope not I have always been very impressed with what he has done with his car. Very impressive for a 2 Rotor P-Port.

I spoke to Jesus a few weeks ago, and he told me that the rules just don't allow him to be competitive anymore, and he really doesn't want to waste money to go and run for less than 1st palce. He sees no point in that. So he's taking a break. It seems that the NHRA wants to make sure that Honda wins the HONDA ALL MOTOR Class...

Exactly!

It's funny how every time the RWD's got quicker they added weight but the FWD's are running basically the same as before.
The FWD's are producing more power. They are much lighter and their 60ft's are better than the RWD's so they can't complain about the RWD's having a traction advantage.
But I guess it's Honda's turn to win a championship this time. You have to please the class sponsor, some times!
It's ok because Kilo is a fighter and I'm sure by the next season he's going to pull another trick out from the hat.
Time will tell.

Talking More "All Motor" Mazda Rotary powered vehicles have to participate!!

I know in Southern California there are quite a few "All Motor" participants that
should start showing up at some of the local events. We are probably not as fast as Jesus but, I know there are approximately 5 or 6 new cars being built or completed to compete in this Class. If more competitors participated in the events it would be difficult for NHRA or any other sanctioning body to keep up this non-sense. I personally do not have the budget to travel across the country but, I will try my best to participate in the local events. I'll have to start making telephone calls to the local racers to see if they can start showing a larger presence in the "All Motor" Class.

I have been lobbying for a rule change in that class since Day one and i will continue to do so. As a fellow rotary racer i will continue to press as hard as i can.

Best of luck to Jesus!!!!
