Dude, that blows.....then again, all of my best stories are from when something blew up in a big way. Keep on the tuning. Lord knows I'm going to need your help when mine is finally running! From your description, it just seems like it was a "fat-finger" mistake.

Glad to hear you're all right. Way to stay dedicated to the learning curve that we know ALL the Gurus went through.

I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression though. I am eternally grateful that "he who will remain unnamed" is helping me out and will do whatever i can to make it trouble free for him.

Right on Allen, good luck. And yes Hylomar makes a big mess. I use as little as possible. You don't need very much.

Lets keep her on a safe tune on the first run eh.

I still don't know why people use that nasty ****. I used it once and never messed with it since. Silicone or the Right Stuff has worked well for me.

Being a air plane mechanic, shouldn't you be used to messing with it?

All we use is gasket maker and silk thread. We actually can't use RTV anywhere on continental engines.

I'll give you a bottle of Whiteboy ink, works real well. Nice and sticky and cleans up fairly easy. Just paypal me 20bucks.
