For starters the tracks can really benefit from a SAFER barrier or Soft Wall. Even just tires lining the walls would be a plus.
--------------------
The SAFER barrier consists of structural steel tubes welded together. Behind these tubes are bundles of closed-cell polystyrene foam, placed between the barrier and the concrete wall.

The theory behind the design is that the barrier absorbs a portion of the kinetic energy released when a race car makes contact with the wall. This energy is dissipated along a longer portion of the wall, instead of propelling the car back into traffic on the track.

An additional benefit of the SAFER barrier is that it reduces damage to the car itself, thereby reducing repair costs.

That's depressing sorry to hear that. The one guy with the glasses on and red shirt was upset he turned away and kind of shaked his head after the crash.

it sucks when a race car crashes but when it is a fellow competitor on your same class and @ the point of making the jump into the 9.xxxs that really sucks donkey dick

That was a very beautiful rx3. Is the motor able to be saved, even with the impact it took on the front end?

The impact of having all the energy released upon intial crash would help greatly by all means. This barrier you speak of, has this kind of setup already been used on other tracks and if so why hasn't been implemented on tracks to allow a safer crash's for the drag cars and the drivers. By all means this sounds like a great Idea

ah man.

for one i am glad the driver is okay. "dom hope you feel better soon." i stopped street racing after i flipped 6-7 times @ 130 mph on the highway( we must have the same angel). luckily there was no one going north bound and i had just had my roll cage put in the day before, it left my with a few cuts. i feel the track is responsible for the damage to your car and that from what you are saying should have shut the track down to get it right. never been to that track but isn't there safety regs. that they are held to.....who regulates them....we (us racers) have to follow rules and safety regs to ride down their track!!!!

Has Domingo found another car yet? If you guys are going to be the first all motor rotary in the 9s you better get on the ball .

If you don't watch out Manny is going to beat you to it.

You damm Texans are so out of it. Lay off the picante!
I believe Jesus 'Kilo' Padilla have that 9sec 'All Motor" rotary record pretty wrapped up for some time now. Actually he's the 'Proffessor' and we are just his followers.
So how about your help in finding us another RX-3.
