Yet another rev limit question

On 12A's, what's the recommended rev limit? Not that I'll get way past 7k; seems to run out of breathing with the stock carb about 8200, even with Racing Beat RR headers and K&N. I seem to recall somewhere that 10k is the max for a stock motor; right or wrong?

8400 has been agreed upon as the stock motor "redline". Apex seals begin to chatter right around that point.

I agree mwatson184. I usually tell people 8,500 for a stock 13B. Not extensively familiar with 12A's so I'm not sure if the same applies.

Makes me glad mine quits pulling at 8200! Thanks for the input.
