I would agree that restricting the opening does creat higher gas pressure/velocity which would increase turbine speed at low end.

Problem is you cant run a true twin scroll setup like this, you could put a partially closing valve in each port and run a true twin scroll.

I do wonder about the restriction this causes, kinda makes me think of the "Tornado" super special snake oil swirling air thingymabob that you insert into yout intake...

I want to see more "Unbiased" results for this.
