Worth it for 1400????

my friends shop is going to put me together a v mount setup for 1400

1400 covers a koyo kit for stock location, a custom spearco 20"x10"x2.5-3" intercooler. also included all instalation and piping

so would this setup be worth it

the intercooler would sit above the koyo at a slant.

any ideas??

and the intercooler will drop my psi by like 1.5, could i just adjust my boost contoller so i get the full 10 with out leaning out my car?

IC won't drop boost pressure. Should increase boost if anything...

All IC's have a presure drop across them.
Depending on brand, type, and piping, the drop could be minimal or severe.
All IC's however great or poor the quality may be WILL INCREASE " Charge Air Density"
This Delta Rise will require a change in mixture strenth.

...and chances are pretty damn good that any aftermarket IC will have a lower pressure drop across it than the stock TMIC, therefore effectively increasing the pressure the engine sees

yes $1400 will be a good price if its done right. The rad cant sit in teh stock location for a vmount though...they need to invert it so that the bottom of the rad is toward the bumper and the top of the rad is toward the engine. This way when the IC is layed on top the IC and rad will make a V. This is going to require them making some custom brakets, ect for the radiator. If they are going to do all that for $1400 including the cost of the Koyo, Spearco core, pipes, couplings, clamps, brakets then you need to have them start selling this as a damn kit cause thats cheap.

I have a feeling they dont know what they are getting into. They are going to spend at least $1000 just on the materials.
