See those injector bungs cut at an angle? This is good, but try to mount them with a cut of 70-75 degrees (so they fire within 15-20 degrees of the runner centerline) if possible.
See those velocity stacks sticking up from the floor of the plenum? This is not so good. While a bell-mouth inlet is good, it will work better if they are flush with the plenum and have a good, smooth, transition.

thanks evil aviator alot. while i was looking at the velocity stacks i thought that it didn't seem right they stuck out that far into the plenum. i'll talk to some shops here in town and see what they say but in a ballpark range how much could this cost?

Another option is to have somebody cut your stock intake in half with a bandsaw, clean out all of the obstructions, and then weld it back together. This isn't exactly cheap, either, but it meets certain racing rules that require stock external dimensions on the manifold, and of course the street racers like it due to its "sleeper" design.

hmmm, i'll keep that all in mind. i'm guesing it's going to cost a pretty penny! one more thing, i'm pretty shure i won't be able to keep emisions with this right? so if that is the problem i should just bore out the whole intake manifold, right?

Not saying it won't work for your application or that there aren't beneficial aftermarket manifold designs out there for a street application. I personally think there are, and will probalby design my own eventually to go with my exhaust manifold... just not a priority right now.
