Where can I find NTK sener?!?!?!?

I need a NTK 5-wire sensor for the diy-wb. I have been looking everywhere and nobody has any. Anybody know where to get one?

It depends how much you want to spend and how much time you want to spend looking. Try Partsbin.com on a daily basis but their current prices are extortion. Honda dealers usually have them on the shelf but if Partsbin prices are extortion, Honda prices are armed robbery.

If you really want to spend some time but want a nice cheap unit, call every junkyard in the country until you find a used 5 wire NTK L1H1 from a 92-94 Honda Civic VX hatchback. I have bought two excellent used sensors for under $75 this way. BTW they are both calibrated from the factory closer to the free air standard than the new one I paid twice as much for.

It is the same sensor that the fjo uses. So, if you can find a place that sells the sensor for fjo then you can just buy the sensor from them. I know the sensors are the exact same I have both kits.

Tried NAPA, they cancelled the order and said they were on nationwide backorder.

For what it is worth, I just called a local NAPA parts in the area and they had one in stock that I was able to walk in and pick up. This was last week. I just called to see if they had another and they are now on backorder too.

Maybe try calling individual NAPA stores in nearby cities and see if you get lucky?

Called my local NAPA and he didn't have any, good price though if they ever come off backorder $126.06. Said he checked every store in the southeast for stock, and no one had one!! argh I might have to start calling junk yards to see if they have any honda 1.5 hatchbacks . I hope that we can get these sensors in the future , as I would hate for my wideband to be useless when my first one dies. Might have to fork out $$$ to a honda dealer for 1.

Now this is interesting..........

I called Monarch the other day and ordered the sensor listed above. As of 3/17, I have a tracking notice from UPS that it had been shipped. We will see when it gets here......

CRAP!!! That cross reference also says that its a 4-wire sensor. That will not work it has to be 5.

Since this sensor is made by BOSCH , cant it be sourced directly from them ?.

NTK makes the sensors. Bosch and Echlin repackage them. More info here: http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/wbo2/wbntk.htm

Sounds like bad news to me.

As there's currently a shortage of the NTK/Honda (L1H1) sensor (and this is apparently a marketing decision by "someone" - to raise the retail price) the issue of actual sensor cost becomes important.
From this, very interesting thread.

I got the O2 sensor from Monarch today. It's a 4 wire. After a phone conversation with a very agreeable man, it is going to go back.

I did find one locally. I am going to look tomorrow morning. They tell me they have access to 2 of them. Anyone want the second one if it correct?

I went to the NAPA store on Gest Street in Cincy this morning. They had found 2 of them at a store in Boston and had ordered both of them in. By the time I got there today, they had sold the other one to someone in Northern Ky that had one on order for 6 months. My best guess would be to call all the local stores and see if there is one on the shelf.

I understand from NTK that Honda has taken them all out of the aftermarket and will hold all for dealers. It seems so strange.....

I'll keep looking.
