what to use for high RPM!?

Rx-8 stationary and "multy window bearing" or racing beat type-II gear and 3-window?

I'm pretty sure the RX8 offers a lot of the same advantages of the Racing Beat unit. RB's hardened ones were the hot set-up until the factory started doing basically the same thing. I just ordered the RX8 units for my new build.

I don't have the answers, but what parts are you starting with? And how high do you want to rev?

Smile Try to find some used FD Stationary Gears

The FD are probably the cheapest I have found because there are plenty of these motors floating around. Nice bearings because it has holes all around the inside. Great factory design.

I am not 110% but I beleive the RB 3 window bearings also have more clearance, allowing for higher rpm's. Not sure about the renesis bearings, will have to look at one tomorow. I know the renesis are like the REW bearings in which they are screwed in not the slot to line up(or whatever its actually called), like all previous years.

I dont like the idea of loose clearance bearings, at high rpms it may allow E shaft flex and could allow the rotors to touch housings, might be trouble, of course if you could have a stiffer E shaft you would not need loose clearances,, loose clearance bearings anyplace are just a band aid for poor engineering.

The shaft is going to flex, the extra clearance allows it to not wipe out the bearing. We taper the E shaft journal surface for the same reason. Please PM me if you fix the flex problem for under $3000! Technically your right about the band aid but its what you have to do.
