What should I replace when taking engine apart for rebuild?

replace anything that has a name involving the words "seal" "spring" "ring" "gasket" and youll be golden.

youll probalby need a Hyd. press to get the bearings and stationary gears out, if you want to. youll need inside and outside micrometers to measure your Eshaft journals, and the bearing inside diameters on the rotors and housings and plates. youll want one of those dial indicators so that you can measure run out on the pully-end of the Eshaft, and the thrust play of it. youll also have to measure the places where the side seals rubbed on the front, middle,and rear covers, to make sure they arent too deep. youll have to have them lapped too, so you have a nice shiny surface to start fresh from.

the Haynes manual talks ALL about this good stuff. another good thing is the video, i think Atkins rotary sells it. anyhow, good luck, keep us in the loop cuz i wanna rebuild a S4-S5 hybrid turbo motor.
