what should I look for?
I am 17 years old and currently own a 95 civic coupe. I have a couple bolt ons, and my car's semi- pretty(rims and all that), but after being in the street racing world for a year, I've come to realize that rx7s are the most insane cars ever. This summer I'm selling my car for about 6 grand and I want a 93-95 rx7. What should I look for, and what should I expect for around 10-14 thousand dollars? Also, what is the difference between an r1 and any other rx7tt?

If you're 17, frankly an FD probably isn't your best choice...
Let me relate something. A kid I know was given $13k by his parents to buy a car (because he managed to stay out of jail for a whole year if that was my kid his present would be I'd take my boot out of his ***, but anyway) He bought a Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4, for $13k. The car turned out to need $6k worth of work, but he had no money left over and his parents refused to dole out 50% extra for repairs. The car ended up sitting in his garage for a few months and they sold it for about $7k, and he ended up driving some beat-up old Maxima instead.
So unless you have a good job (or very generous parents) and are willing to front up a lot of $$$ if/when the car needs some TLC...
Also, and don't take this as an insult, but everyone I know ended up totally demolishing every car they owned as a teenager, if not from wrecks than from general abuse. As much as I don't like FDs I recognize that they are rare and valuable vehicles. For the same money you could also buy a nice vintage Ferrari 3x8 or 911 Turbo... maintenance nightmares / rare valuable cars...
