what if i combined the 5th and 6th ports
i have this idea in mind why cant i combine the 5th and 6th ports and just make one big port has anybody dont this yet?

Another member on here that I know asked me the same Q.
I think why it shouldn't be done, might be because it might cause side-house weakness, among other things that Im not sure about.
But go ahead and try it, see what happens.

If you mean the pairs of ports in the front and rear irons its done all the time in E Production racing engines. You will lose a lot of bottom end response because of lower velocity in the ports but the top end sees some gains. I wouldn't recommend it for a street engine.

my friend had one of these siamesed streetports with a Holley setup and from what i remember, it seemed to do alright on the low-end. i never saw the motor before assembly, so i have no idea how large the secondaries were, but a 6-port housing is a 6-port housing is a ...
another issue is that it was a very, very long time ago and i'm sure my assessment of the car's low-end character now might be different. one thing is for certain though, it kicked like a mule upstairs!
