Weird oil problem...

Ok, i have never ever had an issue like this and i'm thankful it's only happened on my current personal engine in my TII.

Behind the Main Pulley i am seeing that oil is getting pushed out. my first thought is the front main seal. put a new one in, same issue. so then i'm thinking maybe the o-ring on the pulley bolt needs to be replaced. did that, still same issue.

when i clean it all up and let the engine run i see nothing. go for a light cruise and come back it's just a little bit of spray from the clutch fan spitting it around a little. but when i boost it WOT and come back and look, my front cover is all oiled up and also everything else from the fan kicking it around. NO OTHER LEAKS ANYWHERE THO.

front cover gasket is clean, oil pan doesn't even leak, nothing else! i just don't understand as i have never seen this happen before. Main reason it bothers me is it gets my alternator belt oily. so now i have to spray the engine bay down after a hard night of abuse so i don't get belt slip and lose voltage at higher rpms.

My setup in a nutshell:

S4 TII block
lapped irons
9.0 rotors
bridgeported
FD stationary gears
FD opr
GT45 turbo only running 10.5psi

I use Valvoline Durablend 10w40 and only Mazda Oil filter.

Car runs beautifully, oil pressure is around 40 @ warm idle and reaches 100 wot. hits 110 at cold start up.

Could this be a crank case issue? i'm just seriously lost on this right now.

thanks, we're always learning!!!

When I had a just a small filter on the oil filler neck nipple for sump venting I would have this issue as well.

I ran a hose from the filler nipple up to a vented catch tank on the firewall to fix it.

Oil cooler connections (I had this problem as well once)?

Otherwise, check front cover oil pump outlet connection?

CAS o-ring?

yea i am going to try venting the crank case better and see if that helps. the oil is definitely coming from behind the main pulley
