upping comp ratio

upping comp ratio

Would there be any advantage to upping the comp ratio on a rotary or would it just increase blow-by?

Same advantages as with a piston engine. You can have your rotor face recess area welded in then re-machined for higher comp. A lot of N/A racers do this. BTW, not a good idea on boosted applications, as the later model 9.1 ratio is good enough.

I figured it would be advantageous but hadn't heard of it being done. What does it cost and who does it?
