The Truth About Ignition Wires

so ive been rambling on for a LONG time about why MSD wires suck and how they arc and bla bla bla. most people brushed it off as me not liking MSD (meanwhile i have their whole line of products EXCEPT their wires) (on the other forum, but i figured you guys might find this interesting as well)

so anyway i've found a wonderful article that hopefully will teach people that wires making amazing claims are bullshit, it's a long read but a GREAT one if you have the time.

the other article is interesting too.

http://www.magnecor.com/magnecor1/truth.htm - THE TRUTH ABOUT IGNITION WIRE CONDUCTORS

http://www.magnecor.com/magnecor1/overview.htm - A Brief Overview of the Performance Aftermarket Ignition Wire Industry in the USA

Maybe this will help some of you guys who have had inexplicable engine explosion problems.

Enjoy!

Kevin.

I stopped reading because it really doesn't pertain to me, but I would like to point out that this was written by a company that makes ignition wires. It's not like they'd make their products look bad.

Just a thought...

I agree, what company would put down thier own product. If an independant lab put this article out I would be getting a set of magnacores ASAP.

Never had a problem with MSD wires.

No matter which wires you use more important is how it's routed.

ive never had any problems using bosch wires if there good enough for a 911 twin turbo and there 20 bucks a set y would anyone wanna spend more... when they will not gain any power unless the old wire was faulty

I ran taylor spiro pro wires on my truck for 5 years and they still looked and ran like new, only reason I had to replace them is because one day I decided to chang the plugs and took the boots off with pliers, a few months later they where arcing where the pliers ripped the boots. I got the unassembled kit though I didn't trust getting them pre-assembled.

It doesn't matter who the maker is, you can always get a bad batch or a few bad wires. The wires we run on our cup motors are extremely high end stuff, they run a couple hundred a set and I still reject from 0-25% on every shipment we get.
