Transmission upgrades.

Ok Guys I'll keep this short. I'm looking for a good transmission that will hold 650 wheel HP. Will I ever make that? Maybe with the boost turned up. However from a saftey stand point I'd rather overbuild than under. I was looking around for information on the Supra TII Getrag swap but evidently it's had to come by, and this is what I'm leaning towards. So basically I"m looking for anyone that can help me with it by providing pics info and vendors what will have the things I'd need to get it done. In lieu of that I've been looking at some gear set's with Dog Engagement that are to be honest more for racing that a street car, but if that's the route I have to take then it is what it is. . .. Anyway thanks everyone.

Another option is to upgrade the FD tranny. Liberty Transmissions offers a stright cut set of gears for the FD for about $4k. Expensive but still cheaper than a new trans, clutch, flywheel and other assorted mods (slave cyl., driveshaft, etc.) Call Paul at Liberty's. Tell him Bobby referred you.
Another option (this is what I did) is to have Liberty's do the metal enhancement treatments to your trans internals. I'm still testing this option. I make 560whp and have not broken any gears yet. This is a much cheaper option...I'd say about $700 including Liberty's teardown and reassembly. You can see their wensite to explain the metal enhancement treatment. I think it is Libertysgears.com or something close to that.
Important, if you call them, talk to Paul.

You all will not believe what I heard earlier today. I'm talking to my wife and getting ready to go to a friends house for drinks and general guy stuff. Suddenly there is a pregnancy test on the table and she's says just so you know before you go throwing ton's of money into your car again. I am at a loss for words. Needless to say I still went to my friends house, and honestly I'm kind of heavily buzzed as well at 4:20 in the AM . But so far I have reached this conclusion. I am scared as ****. First kid. Relatively new wife. What the hell have I done? Well there goes my 20b build unless I can find a way to double my income in the next 9 months.

Um... wow, I'm sorry, but .... there are a lot more things that are more important than a 20b build or fast car. Drink some water, and start thinking strait. You brought a life into this world, and it will think you are a lot better than a 20b build, it desires the same. This is a happy moment not a bad one.

Congratulations...and condolences. Been there, done that (four kids, one grandchild). If you let yourself really fall into the child, it will be a rich, rewarding experience. It is life-altering, though. While having a child doesn't preclude a 20B and other sportscar-related stuff, it means putting things into priorities.

"Scared" isn't really necessary. People have been doing this for several million years and most have survived. You will, too. The hard part is patience: the baby will have none, and the wife will have little. You have to have a lot with both of them.

FWIW, you can still have a 20B for much less than it would cost you to build one. Mine's for sale. See: http://www.cris.com/~Asam/20B.html

I'm fine with having the child. I can raise my own little rotary mechanic. I'm scared of the wife.
