I vote (if informally) that we should have a Forum-members only list, that way people can PM people they see on the list with questions about their setup, so that we can learn from each other. An overall list wouldn't be a bad idea, but there should definitely be a members-only list.

p.s. i would also like to state that my car supposedly had the engine rebuilt by the prior owner because his wife overheated it, nobody knows what was done. i have never spoke to the previous owner because his father in law sold the car on his used car lot, which i bought it for $10k. three people have all told me that the engine was redone. and according to dave at kdr the engine was apart at one time because someone marked everything and it is not a mazda reman. for one dave was right i found all kinds of stuff loose or unclamped, within 3 days of having it, it almost burnt up because some nimrod left a clamp for a hose running from the y pipe loose!

Yeah that was at the IDRC Import drags. Which car was yours? I probably have some pics of it.

suggestion
how about also include their scanned dyno sheets and also some details about boost pattern, porting job, turbo lag, etc? This should be more helpful than just the 1/4 time because it depends a lot on the driving skill.

Turbo lag: NONE
Boost pattern: ~15 inches of vacuum at idle, going to nearly atmospheric instantly on full throttle (non turbo, eh? )
Powerband: Never dynoed but the engine starts to come on at 2k, pulls stronger at 3.5k, is pulling hard at 5500 which feels like torque peak, and continues pulling out to just a hair past 8k. Which is perfect because shifting at 8k drops revs right down to 5500, and I go thru the traps at 7500-7700.
Driving skill: Since it's all top-end the launch is really tricky. It always falls into a hole when the tires grab - if I launch higher the tires never grab, if i launch lower it bogs even worse, if I slip the clutch the 60' sucks. If you look at Max7's times vs. mine, he's consistently .150-.180 quicker starting at the 330' mark. If I could just get rid of that off-line bog I'd see that 14.9x that I'm looking for. (The difference is he has more low-end, something about the number 13 and the letter B ) Other than that bog I'm right there.
I've got a couple tricks left, going to try 'em out tomorrow... I had a dream last night that I ran a 15.083. I'd be good with that.

With nothing but intake, full exhaust, Power FC running untuned with base maps only and 12.5 psi of boost with Nitto drag radials.
1.87 60 foot
8.0 1/8 mile @ 90 mph
12.3 1/4 mile @ 113 mph
stock IC, clutch, motor, turbos......oh yea, I had a underdrive pulley, cant forget the pulley.
Now I've got a streetport, IC, launch kit, racing clutch, upgraded secondary injectors and had my Power FC tuned by XS at 14psi of boost but havent been to the track yet.
I felt like 12.3@113 wasnt bad for the mods I was running at the time!!!!! Not the top 25 but for the mods its pretty good.
Later,
STEPHEN

My 1st time was tonight... the excuses are... I only got to run 3 times then they said I needed a helmet. Each run was progressively better and on this run I still had a terrible launch, but here it is:
RT 1.437
60' 2.420
330 6.236
1/8 9.310@83.047mph
1000' 11.764
1/4 13.975@104.020mph
I was super pissed because I didn't know if I broke under 14 seconds I would need a helmet or I would have waited for a better launch to finish hard.... it was a blast though and I will be ready next time. By then I should have my car dyno tuned and a few other goodies.
street port, XS TO4E, PFC ect.

Bridge port beast...
Mazda Rx-3 Mild steel full chassis. 1991 Turbo II bridge port engine. "No turbo".. Engine was bridge ported By me. at my Shop best time slip so far is:
R/T....446
60 ....1.262
330....3.764
1/8.....5.889
mph....115.59
990.....7.727
1/4.....9.417
mph....139.71
this Rx-3 set up is on a 1991 turbo II engine no turbo with some good old fashion bridge port, and some of that funny gas. NOS = nitrous oxide.. Iam currently building a lighter Rx3 to see if I could get this Bridge port into the 8 second zone no turbo..
